The current polymer note was first issued on 20 February 2020 which bears the image of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and the image of painter J.M.W Turner on the reverse.
It was created to replace the cotton paper note which had a portrait of economist Adam Smith, which was first given out in 2007.
